Get Involved, Make a Difference: Southern Villages Fun Girls

The VHA theme is Get Involved, Make a Difference. This month we are talking about the Southern Villages Fun Girls. You can find the Southern Villages Fun Girls on Facebook or at SouthernVillagesFunGirls.com.

This is a fabulously fun group of ladies who get together several times monthly in the Southern section of The Villages for events and bus trips. They participate in various fund-raising activities. At a recent event, the ladies dressed up in blowup costumes at Edna’s on the Green to raise money for Patriot Service Dogs.

At the end of 2023, the group had donated over $12,000 to local charities, including the Haven of Lake and Sumter Counties, Inc., serving victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

If you are interested in joining, the Membership fees are $15 to sign up and a $10 recurring yearly fee. You can sign up at southernvillagesfungirls.com/contact. There are participation fees based on the cost of organized trips and events. Currently, the group has over 600 members.
