Shared Harvest Garden
Shared Harvest Garden is a volunteer-run garden championed by the Villages Homeowners Advocates, growing fresh produce for neighbors who need it most. Volunteers plant, tend, and harvest tomatoes, peppers, squash, okra, cantaloupe, and more — all of it donated to local food banks, soup kitchens, and churches serving food-insecure families right here in our community and surrounding areas.
In record seasons, volunteers have harvested up to 24,000 pounds of produce in a single year.
None of it happens without support from VHA members like you.

Donations are a great way to help. Currently, gifts are needed to fund a second greenhouse, one that traps solar heat and shields crops from hard freezes like the one that damaged plants this past winter.
A second greenhouse means weeks or months more growing season, and more produce reaching food-insecure families year-round. Every gift, large or small, gets us closer to this and other goals.
