KILWINS CHOCOLATE FUDGE AND ICE CREAM STORE

Villagers LOVE to bring their grandkids to Kilwins for ice cream when they come to visit.  It seems that music on the square and ice cream is a must-do activity for the kids when visiting. Plus, the outdoor seating is always busy with regulars and visitors who can’t seem to stay away from indulging their sweet tooth.

Chad Uptegraft, the eldest son of Dale and Gary Uptegraft, is being trained by his parents to manage the Kilwins Chocolate Fudge and Ice Cream store at 1108 Main Street in Spanish Springs. He will continue to carry on the Kilwins tradition, with its long history of quality and deliciousness.

The Kilwins promise is the same today as when Don and Katy Kilwin  opened their first store in 1947 in Petoskey, MI: “We promise to make the best possible Chocolates, Fudge & Ice Cream”.  They still follow the original recipes, using quality ingredients like fresh cream from American dairy farms, and the highest quality chocolate and cocoa beans from around the world. Kilwins “Hand-Made Chocolates”, famous “Mackinac Island Fudge”, and made-in-store products like “The Perfect Caramel Apple”, Nut Brittle and Caramel Corn, and “Original Recipe Ice Cream” continues the Kilwins tradition of being a feast for the senses, so what was true in the past remains true today, that Kilwins is “Sweet in Every Sense Since 1947!”
