The VHA offers FREE Golf Cart Safety Clinics to help educate Village residents on owning and operating a golf cart. Sessions are open to all Villagers, and registration is not required. Each session runs for just under two hours, typically wrapping up before 11:00 AM.
Upcoming Dates This Month:
- Monday, July 6, 2026, at 9:00 AM – St. Tropez Rec Center (Omaha Beach Room)
- Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 9:00 AM – Colony Cottage Rec Center (The Study Room)
These sessions are facilitated by dedicated volunteers, with local law enforcement and insurance representatives frequently presenting to provide key safety and legal perspectives.
Each session includes presentations, videos, open discussions, and a Q&A period. Key topics covered include:
- The differences between a standard Golf Cart and a Low-Speed Vehicle (LSV)
- Local parking rules and regulations
- Essential safety tips regarding seatbelts, speed limits, and DUI/DWI laws
- How to properly make turns, merge, and navigate intersections (including gates)
- Proper etiquette for driving on multi-modal paths and bridges
- How to safely pass another cart, bicycle, or pedestrian
