The Sumter County Supervisor of Elections office has a SPECIAL PRIMARY and GENERAL ELECTION FOR SENATE SEAT 11 COMING in September and December 2025.
NOTICE: FLORIDA IS A CLOSED PRIMARY STATE. This PRIMARY ELECTION IS ONLY OPEN TO REPUBLICAN REGISTERED VOTERS. THE GENERAL ELECTION WILL BE OPEN TO ALL REGISTERED VOTERS.

EARLY VOTING S EPTEMBER 20 – 27, 2025; 10 am – 6 pm
ELECTION DAY S EPTEMBER 30, 2025; 7 am -7 pm
GENERAL
EARLY VOTING NOVEMBER 29 – DECEMBER 6, 2025; 10 am – 6 pm
ELECTION DAY DECEMBER 9, 2025; 7 am -7 pm
After each General Election Cycle, your VOTE BY MAIL REQUES T(s). fall off the voting system. You, THE VOTER, are responsible for renewing your VOTE BY MAIL REQUEST(s).
The law allows voters to deliver their VOTE BY MAIL ballots to any early voting locations, during early voting hours, and/or to either of the two Supervisor of Elections offices, through election day. The VOTE BY MAIL ballots will be dropped into a supervised, Secure Ballot Intake Station, to be received into our system and tabulated.
NOTE: Voters CAN NOT deliver their VOTE BY MAIL to a Precinct location on election day. They must deliver to one of our two offices.
The LAST DAY TO REQUEST A VOTE BY MAIL FOR THE 2025 SPECIAL ELECTIONS:
SPECIAL PRIMARY deadline: September 18, 2025
SPECIAL GENERAL deadline: November 27, 2025
You may request your VOTE BY MAIL BALLOT in three different ways.
- Contact the Supervisor of Elections office at (352) 569-1540, option 1 for Voter Services
- Go to our website https://elections.sumtercountyfl.gov/ and then click on the VOTE BY MAIL radio button.
- Visit our office and fill out a DS DE160, VOTE BY MAIL form with the assistance of our Voter Services Team.
