The Florida Department of Transportation established Safe Mobility for Life to address the safety and transportation needs of aging Floridians. With driving being a lifelong skill that begins in our teens and grows more critical as we age, Safe Mobility for Life encourages residents of The Villages to take part in Older Driver Safety Awareness Week, December 1 – 5, 2025.
Throughout the week, Safe Mobility for Life will share proactive tips and educational resources designed to help you stay confident and safe behind the wheel. You can access Florida’s ODSAW hub at fdot.info/ODSAW to:
- Complete an interactive driver safety questionnaire for you or a loved one.
- Start thoughtful conversations about safe driving.
- Learn how in-vehicle technology can improve safety and comfort.
- Explore ways to plan for your future transportation needs.
