Wildwood Launches New Government Transparency Page

Transparency is at the heart of everything we do at the City of Wildwood. As our community continues to grow, it is more important than ever that residents have access to clear, accurate, and timely information about their local government.

Public trust is built through open communication and accountability. Our residents deserve to understand how decisions are made, how public funds are managed, and how the City is planning for Wildwood’s future. They should also be able to find that information easily and know how to participate in the process.

To make important information more accessible, the City has created a dedicated Government Transparency page on its website. This page brings together links to frequently requested resources, including the City’s budget and financial information, property tax revenue and spending, public meeting agendas and minutes, news releases, newsletters, public records, and community alerts. You can access this page by clicking here.

Through these resources, residents can review how ad valorem tax revenue is collected and allocated, explore the City’s adopted budget and financial reports, and follow the work of the City Commission, Community Redevelopment Agency, and planning boards. Meeting agendas and supporting materials are posted online, along with minutes documenting the actions taken during public meetings.

Transparency also means keeping residents informed beyond the meeting room. The City regularly shares news releases, newsletters, public notices, project updates, and other information through its website and communication channels. Residents may also sign up to receive alerts about emergencies and other important matters affecting the community.

An informed community is an engaged community. I encourage residents to use these resources, attend public meetings, ask questions, and remain involved in the decisions that shape Wildwood. Your participation helps us build a stronger city and ensures that local government continues to serve the community openly, responsibly, and effectively.

I also encourage residents to attend one of our “Mondays with the Manager” events. These informal gatherings provide an opportunity to engage directly with City leadership, share ideas, and stay informed about ongoing projects and initiatives. The next session will take place on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 7:30 a.m. at the MLK Community Center, located at 101 Dr M.L.K. Jr Ave, Wildwood, FL 34785.

There, you can sign up for alerts to receive updates on road closures, news releases, and other important information. You can also subscribe to the City’s monthly newsletter, the Wildwood Connection, which highlights upcoming events, project updates, and other community news.
