This summer is a great time for residents to get informed, stay connected, and take advantage of helpful community resources through upcoming events hosted by the VHA. These programs offer practical information on issues that matter to daily life in The Villages, while also giving neighbors the chance to hear directly from local officials and community experts.
June 23: Understanding Government in the Historic North
On Tuesday, June 23, residents living in Lake County’s historic northern section of The Villages will have an opportunity to learn more about how their community is governed. This presentation is specifically designed for those in areas such as Orange Blossom Gardens and Silver Lake, where governance and financing differ from the traditional numbered residential CDD structure found in other parts of The Villages. Attendees will receive a general overview of community services, gain a clearer understanding of non-CDD areas, and hear from representatives of District Government and other local officials. This event is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at La Hacienda Recreation Center.
August 19: Roof Replacement in The Villages
Another valuable event to mark on the calendar is Roof Replacement in The Villages on Wednesday, August 19. Replacing a roof can feel overwhelming, but this presentation will help residents understand when it may be time to replace their roof, what materials are allowed in The Villages, and how to choose a contractor. Community Standards will also explain the application process required for roof replacement projects. For homeowners planning ahead or simply wanting to be prepared, this session offers useful guidance that can save time, money, and stress.
