On November 21st, the VHA will hold its third annual Health and Wellness Expo. Why? It is all about the word “advocacy”. The VHA’s role in the community is not simply about advocating for better sight lines when shrubs grow at intersections or about speed on our streets. We believe that advocacy also includes working with health professionals to ensure the best possible prevention measures are available to you.
The Health and Wellness Expo at the Rohan Recreation Center will feature professionals from 20 specialties, as well as insurance providers. We have also been able to add twenty of our own Villages organizations that provide prevention and care opportunities. You will be able to have conversations with these professionals. During the event, we will host a speaker series featuring six topics. Advertising and details for the event will be available on our website on thevha.net, or in our advertising with The Daily Sun.
This is only the beginning of what we intend to accomplish in our collaboration with health care providers. In 2026, we plan to host a monthly speaker series on health-related topics. The focus will be on prevention. Do not miss the opportunity to begin your new healthy journey by visiting with our sponsors at the Expo. We can make our community the healthiest in the nation when we are all involved.
Our goals are lofty; our standards are high. We support our community with dozens of informational and educational events throughout the year. We would welcome you to become a member of our organization and support us financially. You can join us through our website, thevha.net.
