The holiday season is upon us. Does it seem to you that we just finished the season? Years go faster now than in the past. Why? Is it because we are busier now that we have retired? Is it because we are having more fun and being more productive? I hope so.
I know one thing for sure. I am a busy guy. When you read this note, the VHA will have just hosted a huge Health and Wellness Expo. We will have planted over 10,000 onion sets in less than 2 hours at Shared Harvest Garden. We hosted more than 50 informational sessions and social events. Volunteers provided all these events. Yes, your neighbors who believe in giving back to the community. Your neighbors who believe in enhancing the quality of the community and their lives.
My hat is off to those volunteers. The Neighborhood Representatives and other Leadership folks have provided this for your enjoyment. It is their contribution to the community. I may get credit for these happenings, but it is truly a team effort.
