Hi Neighbors,
Love thy neighbor. This is a guiding principle for many people of a variety of different faiths and backgrounds. It is the motive behind so much for so many. With respect to our community, The Villages, we would be hard pressed to find a community with more volunteers.
To name just a few things run by volunteers, we have the hospital auxiliary, soup kitchens, food pantries, thrift stores, sewing groups, and care groups. At the VHA, a non-profit organization, volunteers help with loaning out durable medical equipment through Helping Hands and assimilate new residents with New Resident Night, Neighborhood Representatives, and Golf Cart Safety Class.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank each, and every, volunteer, and the way too many to mention volunteer organizations, for their service to our community and the surrounding area.
May this season bring you peace and comfort,
Ellie Decker, Vice President
