As the headline says, the VHA Helping Hands Program will resume operations in its new space on Monday, July 7. Our new location is in Brownwood at 3559 Kiessel Road, Suite 301, The Villages, FL 32163. We’re in a building in the parking lot behind The Villages Community Development Districts building. Enter the parking lot off Shady Nook Run. Look for our sign.
You may call in new requests starting today, July 3rd, to the same number as before, 352-973-2284. Please note that Friday, July 4, is a federal holiday, and we will not be taking requests. Your call on Friday or over the weekend will be returned on Monday, July 7, to fulfill your request. Our new space will enable us to be more centrally located in The Villages, allowing us to better support all Villagers.
If you’d like to volunteer with a high-performing organization that helped over 9000 Villagers last year in one way or another, consider giving us a call. We need shuttle drivers (to use our van) to move equipment between a storage unit and the new building, office staff to greet and service customers when they come to pick up or donate equipment, and folks who know how to use a computer with Excel (but not advanced skills).
