The Villages Homeowners Advocates will sponsor the area’s largest Health & Wellness Expo on November 14 at Colony Cottage Recreation Center from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

This year the VHA has focused, under the leadership of President Peter Russell, on helping educate Villagers on how to stay healthy while aging.  The inaugural Health & Wellness Expo will be the culmination of that focus.

Russell went on to explain that the net proceeds from this event will benefit those organizations which address needs in the areas of nutrition, physical and mental health, US veterans and Armed Forces, housing, and youth.

The Expo will present information on Physical Activity for Healthy Aging, Social Engagement for Mental Wellness, and Proper Nutrition for Healthy Living.  Health and wellness experts from throughout central Florida will be represented and will offer literature, information, data, etc. promoting healthy living.

Have you ever considered the following questions?  All will be discussed on November 14.

  • What are the issues and concerns that aging brings to the human body?
  • How can people become aware that these issues exist in their own bodies?
  • What are the risks of not addressing these issues?
  • What positive actions can a person take to correct or live with these issues?
  • What are the benefits of taking corrective actions to your quality of life?

Those questions and many more will be answered by the experts on November 14.  Visitors to the Expo will be able to walk from table to table and actually speak to the experts.
