We are often asked what sets us apart from other groups who try to address issues that arise in our community. The most significant difference is that we work extremely hard to work TOGETHER as a PARTNER with the various entities who have responsibility for certain operations/activities within the community.
We believe that everyone in District Government, County Government, Schools, City Government, the various non-profits, and the Developer team are genuinely caring people who seek to do their best and try to help continue the dream established by Harold Morse.
We will always be civil, respectful, and positive in our dialog and activities. We will not call people names nor complain about issues without offering thoughtful, realistic, viable solutions for whatever the issue is. We will seek to obtain timely, factual information for our members and the entire community when issues arise.
We raise thousands of dollars through our 501(c)(3) organization to support as many deserving organizations as possible who provide a variety of important and valuable services to our community.
As The Villages continues to grow and expand, new issues will arise that require a collaborative approach to resolve. Consider actively participating by attending your community development district (CDD) meeting, county commission meeting, etc. Feel free to contact your VHA neighborhood representative with any concerns and consider helping us seek to maintain and improve this wonderful community.
Unsure who your neighborhood VHA representative is? Go to our website (thevha.net) and find yours under the Members tab on the home page.
