Yesterday- Today – Tomorrow
If you missed Part I of this program last year, don’t let it happen again. This program has something for every resident of The Villages, whether it’s golf, pickleball, softball, quilting, tennis, or many other activities.
John Rohan, Executive Director of Recreation & Parks, will address recreation as it was, how it is now, and what to expect in 2025 and beyond. As this is such an important role in all our everyday lives, you will not want to miss what is in the future and what has and is being done to improve the present, and there is no one better than John Rohan to tell you these things.
David Williams, Exec. Director of Golf will dive into what is still being done to improve such a vital activity for many Villagers. There was a rough patch in 2024 with Golf in The Villages, and David and his team jumped in the middle of these issues and began to listen and start correcting. As I think most people know, some of the issues were Mother Nature-related, and with some help from her, David and his team started tackling them. He will go into what some of the corrections were and how golf, as we know it, has vastly improved. He will also go into what we will look forward to soon. When we had this program in 2024, we had to close registration very early because of seating availability. Please register for this program early.
