For the thousands of Veterans living in The Villages®, military service is a defining chapter of their lives. Yet for many, its effects don’t end when they return home. Conditions like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injuries (TBI) are far more common among Veterans than civilians, often leading to lasting cognitive and physical challenges.

Studies show that as many as 23% of Veterans will be diagnosed with PTSD, and more than 414,000 service members reported sustaining a TBI between 2000 and 2019. Experts believe thousands more cases go unreported. Left untreated, these invisible wounds can lead to memory loss, depression, anxiety, sleep disturbances, and suicidal ideation.

While traditional treatments often focus on managing symptoms, advancements in medical science are opening new doors for recovery. Research shows that the therapies available in the comprehensive Aviv Medical Program may enhance the brain’s ability to repair itself and make new connections. Aviv Clinics combines hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) with cognitive training, physical therapy, and nutritional support to restore lost function, improve memory, stabilize mood, and enhance sleep.

To make this treatment more accessible, Aviv Clinics is offering a special opportunity for Veterans. If you or a loved one is a Veteran struggling with the effects of PTSD, TBI, or another condition like stroke, long COVID, or fibromyalgia, Aviv is here to help. Call 352-689-8727 or visit www.aviv-clinics.com/veterans to learn more. Your next mission is your health, and we’re ready to support you every step of the way.
