Can you believe it is already the second month of 2024. Changes are plentiful and the VHA is no exception. Just as the Villages continues to grow with many new residents, the VHA continues to grow in membership and leadership. Our VHA South area leadership has transitioned with me assuming duties as the Vice President for the South Area and Shawn Dietrich and John Kerrigan joining me as Assistant VPs for the South Area. Dave Fountaine has assumed the role of Executive Vice President. These organizational changes will ensure we become efficient and better prepared to assist our residents to ”Get Involved – Make a Difference”.
We have started the year off fast with 2 great south area programs in January. We’re hosting another event on February 27th at Ezell Recreation Center about “Golfing in the Villages”. It provides an opportunity to hear from the people who manage and maintain the nearly 900 holes of golf we enjoy. If you’re interested in attending, please pre- register for this event on our website (sday February ). This is a VHA open event for all residents with members having reserved seating due to room capacity limitations. There might be some surprise giveaways for those attending!
