Believing in the importance of safety, Community Watch Patrol Drivers continue to educate all residents of The Villages on how visibility is primary in keeping you safe. If you are one of the many who enjoy outdoor activities, especially once the sun goes down, it is paramount that you take the time to make sure others can easily see you. Visibility is the easiest precaution you can implement. This can be achieved by wearing white or light-colored clothing, reflective vests, lighted vests and, of course, Community Watch’s, free of charge, reflective slap bands. In fact, our Patrol Drivers keep a supply of reflective slap bands on hand should they see someone at night who is without any reflective clothing. Our slap bands can be worn on your wrists or ankles, ensuring a quick and easy way to provide some visibility. For those who spend a great deal of time outside, walking your pets, running or jogging for example, you may want to look at reflective and/or lighted LED vests. You can even purchase them for your furry friends, keeping them safe as well. Your safety is important, help others help you by being seen.
