Maximizing the Golf Experience in The Villages

The Summer months bring warmer weather and longer days to The Villages – and lots more golf.  The extended daylight hours allow for about 10,000 tee times each day on The Villages 9 Championship and 29 Executive Golf Courses.  Consistent with The Villages Golf Program mission of maximizing Villagers’ golf experience, the Tee Time System has been responding to golfers’ requests and recommendations for improving and expanding play.  Additionally, Summer Golf Rates are effective May 1st through mid-October, and Twilight Play begins in June, making golf an even bigger bargain in The Villages.

Bargain Prices for Championship Golf

Starting May 1st Summer Golf Rates started and are further reduced after 11 a.m. with unlimited play included.  Additionally, early-bird 9-hole play is available at the country clubs between 7:00 and 7:20 a.m. by calling the golf shop.  Starting in June, Twilight Golf is coming again for unlimited play on the championship courses after 6 p.m. for only $6.

Point Break for Golfers

Points in the Tee Time System will not be charged this Summer (between May 1st and August 31st) for tee times after 4 p.m. on either the Championship or Executive Golf Courses.  Therefore, regular golfers won’t be penalized for taking advantage of late-play bargains when competing for requested start times in the Tee Time System.

Extended Tee Times

The Tee Time System has extended tee times on Executive Courses to 7 p.m. to eliminate the golfers’ frustration over long lines and competing for open golf times after 5 p.m. in previous years.  Tee times are also available on the Championship Courses to 6 p.m.  For additional information about these programs visit website.  Golf Group leaders who regularly or periodically request group tee times are invited to contact the Tee Time Office at 753-3396 for tips on maximizing your golf experience through better understanding of the tee time system operation.
