Welcome to the heat of Summer. Heat brings those tropical showers which ARE the summer in Florida.
You should be sure to read the article with the concerns and different options the Ad Hoc Committee will be tackling. Fire, EMS and Transport services are the key points. All Residents need to be aware of these issues and what option would be best for The Villages and County.
KEY POINTS TO BE AWARE OF:Â
THERE ARE 10 OPTIONS BEING PRESENTED. 5 OPTIONS WILL NOT HAVE THE VILLAGES FIRE DEPARTMENT CONTINUE TO EXIST. AMR, AMBULANCE TRANPORTER CO. IS NOT MEETING THEIR OBLIATION NOW SO ANOTHER TRANSPORT SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE APPROVED. THE VILLAGES FIRE DEPARTMENT OFFERS SUPERIOR RESPONSE TIMES. THEY SHOULD BE IN THE FINAL DECISION.
The VHA supports the local Public Safety Department and Option #9 is their choice. We all need to support and speak out for utilizing the department in the final decision.
Many CDD districts need a representative to serve on their Architectural Review Committee. I served on this committee at one time. You gain knowledge of the changes to the exterior of the home. If you are into design, landscaping, dabbled in construction, this could be just the place for you. Call Community Standards for information.
I want to thank all who sent Town Hall questions that were answered by Villages Departments and are seen in this month’s Voice.
Remember, The Villages is the Friendliest Hometown. Many residents are enjoying the Villages. We all are able to express our opinions. But please use vocal restraint. You are also enjoying the Villages.
