Pat Francis

For service on Community Development Board #6

            Pat has been active in The Villages and surrounding community for 20 years.  A former small business owner, Pat and her late husband Mike came to The Villages from Illinois in 1998.  Together, they organized the Republican Party Headquarters in The Villages.  Mike would eventually serve as both Mayor of Lady Lake and later Chairman of the Sumter County Board of County Commissioners.

            Pat has continued to serve on the Republican Executive Committee and as Co-Chairman of the annual GOP Lincoln Day Dinner.

            Pat has held numerous additional leadership roles in the community including serving as a member of both the Sumter County Tourism Board and the North Sumter Utility Dependent District Board of Supervisors.  Pat led the Villages Breast Cancer Support Group for ten years and currently volunteers as a Mentor for Take Stock in Children.

            A supporter of The Villages Charter School, Pat mentors two students and serves on the Buffalo Scholarship Foundation Board which has contributed $767, 065 to local students.

            Pat also serves as Minister of Holy Communion at St. Vincent Catholic Church and Minister to the Sick at Buffalo Crossing Rehabilitation Center, Promise Hospital and Elan Assisted Living Center.
