General Membership Meeting

The VHA is proud to have Mr. Edward Jimenez, M.B.A. Chief Executive Officer for University of Florida Health Shands, as our guest speaker to present information about the relationship between Shands and The Villages® Regional Hospital.

Mr. Jimenez has served as CEO of UF Health Shands since 2014.  He guides the operations, financial performance and strategic direction for the Gainesville-based teaching hospital, specialty hospitals, and clinical programs.  As such he collaborates with UF College of Medicine faculty and UF Health administrators to ensure the delivery of outstanding patient care and quality outcomes and supports education and research. UF Health Shands consistently earns top-50 rankings in multiple adult and pediatric medical specialties in the annual U.S. News & World Report best hospitals listings.

In addition to Mr. Jimenez’s presentation, The VHA’s annual report for 2020 will be presented by our President, Phil Walker.
