Not Too Scary Halloween Party

The Town of Lady Lake will again host their annual “Not Too Scary Halloween Party” on Saturday October 22nd from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Guava Street Athletic Complex on the junior field next to the Lady Lake Library.  This is a free event.  There will be food and games and a good time to be had for grandparents, parents, children and grandchildren.

Lady Lake Library:  Back by popular demand: The Lady Lake Library and Coping with Dementia LLC are offering free “ABC’s of Dementia” workshops in room 204 at 225 W. Guava Street, Lady Lake Library on Wednesday, Oct 19th; Monday, Nov 7th; Monday, Nov 28th; and Friday, Dec 16th from 10am – noon.

This workshop explains Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia in plain language, suggests techniques for becoming a better care partner, and provides useful resources to families living with dementia members.  Everyone is welcome, including persons with dementia.  While the workshops are free, reservations are encouraged.  For more information or to reserve seats for any of the workshops, call 352-422-3663 or email deb@coping.today.
